That advice has been issued by the Chairman of the Association of Parents of Children with big heads (ASBAHT), Abdulhakim Bayakub, while speaking to journalists at a meeting to discuss the challenges facing these children.
He said children with big heads if they receive early treatment can eliminate unnecessary disability.
"There are some parents are still locked into their children on the grounds that it was disabled due to big heads they have, but this is not a disability, we have witnessed many children who underwent surgery big heads have been recovered and back in their normal," said Bayakub.
He said some of the children are inter- hospital but parents need to bring them back again for the investigation do not hand over, resulting in a significant increase in mortality with big heads.
"60 percent of children have returned again underwent surgery hospital, estimated to have died, as there is no any information confirming whether they were alive," said Bayakub.
He said the biggest challenge facing parents of children with big heads is the inability, for 600 children between one child is treated by medical personal, all the remaining ones are still languishing waiting for a medical exemption.
For his part, Doctor of the Institute of bones and neurological (MOI), Rebeca Majige, said there is a need to provide education for parents of children with big heads to reduce the increase in the child mortality.
He said between 45 to 48 percent of children did not present ward called both problems, were allowed to fail to return to the hospital for check the progress of their health and lead to significant increase of these children get the disease transmission.
She also urged the Government to increase the budget in the Ministry of Health in order to help children with big heads clinical and spine open.
